As I have been preparing for this journey, I have been asked my several organizations if I can send them a list of skills I can bring to help them. This page should help anyone interested assess what I can do to help their organization.

In my professional career I have been praised for two consistent skills – versatility and troubleshooting/problem solving.  I can not tell you how many time I have had bosses tell me – “we have this new ___ (project, program, etc) happening in soon, learn it, make it work, and show us how to do what we need to do.”  There are many skills in which I have received extensive training but being able to tackle problems as they arise has been one of my biggest strengths.

As a photographer I bring quality gear and years of experience in portrait, event, and commercial areas. I have created high quality images for print, web and even billboard production. I have been a “techy” since I dug into my first computer in high school. My library of experience has been built working as a consultant and an employee at schools, universities, non-profits, political campaigns, and small businesses. Some of the roles I have filled have been:  technical auditor/assessor (helping people figure out what they have and what they need in terms of IT), trainer, troubleshooter, project manager, strategist, and developer.

One of my main goals as an IT consultant has always been to leave behind people who are equipped to handle whatever solutions we put together. This is achieved through both implementing user-friendly solutions and providing quality training to users.
